When I asked my followers on social media to help name him, many were drawn to royal themes: King, Royal, even Willem-Alexander. That idea spoke to me—not only because the bird is called a kingfisher in English, but also because of his striking Royal Blue color. Still, I prefer names that are simple and strong. And so, Lex was born—a subtle nod to Willem-Alexander, distilled into one short, powerful name.
