As I painted him, I imagined him stepping forward from the darkness, his mane like a royal cloak catching the light. His eyes, filled with quiet power and gentle wisdom, draw you in and hold your gaze.
This painting is very close to my heart. It’s an original, hand-painted oil painting measuring 150 x 120 cm, created with great care and attention to detail. I built up the layers of paint slowly and deliberately, using rich, deep tones to give the lion’s fur and mane texture and movement. My goal was to make him feel almost alive—to let the painting breathe with its own energy.
Set against a dark, dramatic background, the lion becomes the bold centerpiece of any room. I chose a sleek black tray frame to finish the piece—elegant, timeless, and perfectly suited to the painting’s mood and power.
